Wrea Green Field Day
Saturday the 1st of July 2006, saw the BAFRUA sales stand make a welcome appearance, after a gap of five years, at the Wrea Green Field Day. The village lost its station in the 1960's, and after closure was completely demolished,. However, after much campaigning from the association, the station is now on the list of official station re-openings that Lancashire County Council wish to see. The village extends a welcome to BAFRUA every field day, but unfortunately due to either lack of personnel to man the stall or indeed inclement weather, the association hasn't been present at the gala for some years. However, that was all corrected on the Saturday, and we all enjoyed the marvellous sunny weather whilst earning a shilling or two for 'the cause'.
