MOSS SIDE
Both Moss Side and Wrea Green stations were closed in 1961. However, whereas all traces of the latter were obliterated, the platforms at Moss Side were left intact. This enabled the up platform, with the help of a grant from Lancashire County Council, to be brought back into use in November 1983.
