This
witnessed the Northern Rail Rugby League cup final, which was held at
Bloomfield Road, the home of Blackpool Football Club. The game was
between Hull Kingston Rovers and Castleford Tigers. Northern Rail
organised a special train to bring the Castleford fans into the resort,
and the picture shows the very colourful six car Sprinter arriving at
Blackpool North, the first Ruggex to run into the town.
