saw Stanier Pacific, number 6233 Duchess of Sutherland, haul a day excursion from Leicester into Blackpool North. The train should have arrived at 11.49 but was about 30 minutes late. However, this did not detract from the day out for the 400 plus passengers on board. This picture shows the engine preparing to propel its carriage stock (with the aid of a Class 47 diesel on the rear) into Enfield Road carriage sidings.
